This Privacy Policy applies to visitors to the Websites, who view only publicly available content (“Visitors”), and users who register with us (“Registered Users”) and wish to purchase, access, or participate in a product, course, service, class, community, membership, or other offering through one of our Websites.

By visiting any of our Websites, Visitors are agreeing to the terms of this Privacy Policy and the accompanying Terms & Conditions.

By registering with us, purchasing a product or service, accessing a course, participating in a community space, or otherwise using our Websites, each Registered User is agreeing to the terms of this Privacy Policy and the accompanying Terms & Conditions.

By providing us information offline, you are also agreeing to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

The Information We Collect and/or Receive; the Purpose of Collection and Use
In the course of operating the Websites and/or interacting with you, we will collect and/or receive the following types of information.

Contact Information
When you sign up to receive any of our free offerings, respond to a survey, register for a class, purchase any product or service, join a community or membership space, participate in a live call, submit a form, or sign up to become our affiliate partner, you may be required to provide us with certain information about yourself, such as your name, address, email address, social media information, and phone number. If you sign up to become an affiliate partner, you may also be required to provide payment information, such as your PayPal address or other payout information, and taxpayer identification information where required by law. This information is, together, the “Contact Information.” The Contact Information is used to provide the requested product, service, class, community access, membership access, information, or support, and to contact you for purposes of direct marketing of our current and future products and services, where permitted by law.

If you land on one of our pages through an affiliate partner link and provide us Contact Information, for example to request information or purchase a product or service, we may share your name and email address with such affiliate partner to let them know that you were referred and in case they have offered you any bonuses or rewards for following their referral link. We have no control over how affiliate partners may use your information after it has been received and we are not responsible for fulfilling any bonuses that such affiliate partners may have offered you. Order Information
When you place an order, you must provide us with certain information about the products and services you are seeking to purchase. Such information is collectively called the “Order Information.” The Order Information is used to fulfill your Order, provide access to purchased products or services, maintain customer records, provide customer support, and manage our business, legal, and tax obligations.

Billing Information
When you wish to purchase a product or service, you will be required to provide certain information in addition to the Contact Information and Order Information noted above. Such information may include a debit card number, credit card number, expiration date, billing address, activation codes, and similar information. Such information is collectively called the “Billing Information.” Billing Information is collected and processed by our third-party payment processor operating as our agent. We do not directly obtain, process, or retain full credit card or debit card numbers.

Course, Community, and Participation Information
When you access or participate in our courses, classes, memberships, communities, live calls, group spaces, comment areas, downloads, forms, surveys, worksheets, or related offerings, we may collect or receive information about your participation, access, submissions, comments, preferences, progress, communications, and any other information you choose to provide. This may include personal, emotional, reflective, or meaningful information that you voluntarily share with us or with other participants. We use this information to provide the products and services you request, support your participation, maintain and improve our offerings, communicate with you, and operate The Truffle Box.

Testimonials, Feedback, and Stories
You may choose to provide testimonials, feedback, reviews, stories, survey responses, comments, images, screenshots, or other materials relating to your experience with The Truffle Box. We may use non-identifying feedback to improve our products and services. We will not intentionally publish your identifying personal story, testimonial, image, private message, or sensitive personal details for marketing purposes without your permission, except where otherwise permitted or required by law.

In addition to the information noted above, we may collect additional information, collectively, the “Other Information.” Such Other Information may include:

From You. Additional information about yourself that you voluntarily provide to us, for example via a survey, form, class, community space, email, live call, or other interaction, such as product and service preferences, interests, feedback, and other information.

From Your Activity. Information that we automatically collect when you use the Websites, including, without limitation:

(i) IP addresses, which may consist of a static or dynamic IP address and will sometimes point to a specific identifiable computer or device; browser type and language; referring and exit pages and URLs; date and time; amount of time spent on particular pages; what sections of the Websites you visit; login, course, product, or community access activity; and similar data; and

(ii) information about your device, including the type of device; universally unique ID (“UUID”); advertising identifier (“IDFA”); MAC address; operating system and version, for example iOS, Android, or Windows; carrier and country location; hardware and processor information; network type; and similar data.

From Cookies and Similar Technologies. Cookies are small packets of data that a website stores on your computer or mobile device so that your computer or mobile device will “remember” information about your visit. These services may include, as applicable, Kajabi, Stripe or other payment processors, Google Analytics or similar analytics tools, Meta/Facebook or other advertising platforms, email marketing tools, video/live-call tools, scheduling tools, survey/form tools, and customer support or business operations tools. These third parties may use cookies and other technologies to help analyze and provide us the data. By accessing and using the Websites, you consent to the processing of data about you by these providers in the manner and for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. Please be advised that if you opt out of any service, you may not be able to use the full functionality of the Websites.

From Other Sources. We also may collect or receive information from third parties, such as Facebook, Instagram, Meta, Google, affiliate partners, payment processors, course platforms, and/or other third-party websites, platforms, or services.

Information Collected by or Through Third-Party Advertisers/Remarketers
We may share Other Information about you with third parties, including, but not limited to, advertising, analytics, and remarketing providers, or other brand partners, for purposes of personalizing or otherwise understanding how you engage with ads, emails, websites, course pages, checkout pages, or other content. These third parties may use cookies, pixel tags, web beacons, clear gifs, or other technologies to collect Other Information in furtherance of such purposes, including to tailor, target, analyze, report on, and/or manage advertising campaigns or other initiatives. Information Shared Through the Websites, Community Spaces, and Public or Group Features
You may post and/or share information, including but not limited to comments, posts, replies, messages, chat contributions, images, reflections, or other content using forums, course spaces, community spaces, group spaces, live sessions, comment areas, and other similar features available through the Websites or through third-party platforms we use.

Information you provide using these features may be visible to other participants, users, hosts, facilitators, service providers, or members of the public, depending on the setting.

THIS PRIVACY POLICY DOES NOT PROTECT INFORMATION THAT YOU CHOOSE TO SHARE PUBLICLY OR SEMI-PUBLICLY THROUGH SUCH FEATURES. ALL SUCH INFORMATION MAY BE SEEN, COLLECTED, USED, MODIFIED, DISCLOSED, SCREENSHOTTED, COPIED, OR SHARED BY OTHER USERS OR PARTICIPANTS.

Please think carefully before disclosing personal, sensitive, emotional, private, identifying, or confidential information in any public, group, live, community, course, or comment setting.

Please note that if you post and/or share information through Facebook, Instagram, Meta, Kajabi, or another third-party platform, such information will also be subject to that platform’s privacy policy and terms.

Information Collected Through Community Groups, Live Sessions, and Member Spaces
You may post and/or share information through our Facebook Community Group, Kajabi community spaces, Snowfeather House, The Hearth, course communities, live classes, group calls, comment spaces, member spaces, or other community areas we may offer. Use of third-party community platforms is also governed by the privacy policies and terms of those platforms.

We ask all participants to use care and respect when sharing in community spaces. However, we cannot guarantee that other participants will keep information private. Please do not share information in community, group, or live settings that you would not want other participants to see, remember, screenshot, copy, discuss, or share.

Aggregate Data
In an ongoing effort to better understand our visitors, customers, participants, and our products and services, we may analyze the Order Information and Other Information in aggregate form in order to operate, maintain, manage, and improve the Websites and/or our products and services. This aggregate information does not identify you personally. We may share this aggregate data with our affiliates, agents, service providers, and business partners. We may also disclose aggregated user statistics in order to describe our products and services to current and prospective business partners and to other third parties for other lawful purposes.
Additional Uses
We also use information collected pursuant to this Privacy Policy to provide our services; process Orders; provide course, membership, community, and product access; administer rewards, affiliate, and promotional programs; maintain and improve our Websites and services; solicit your feedback; respond to your questions; provide customer support; protect our rights, safety, business, and users; comply with legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations; and inform you about our products and services and those of our third-party marketing partners, where permitted by law.
Sharing with Third Parties
Like many businesses, we contract with other companies and individuals to perform certain business-related services. We may disclose your information, including personal information in some cases, to certain types of third-party companies and service providers, but only to the extent needed to enable them to provide such services, including, without limitation, technical assistance, website hosting, course hosting, membership/community hosting, order fulfillment, customer service, marketing assistance, email delivery, payment processing, survey collection, advertising support, analytics, scheduling, live-call/video delivery, promotional and marketing assistance, professional support, legal/accounting support, and business operations.

These other companies will have access to your information, including personal information in some cases, only as necessary to perform their functions and to the extent permitted by law. These services may include, as applicable, Kajabi, Stripe or other payment processors, Google Analytics or similar analytics tools, Meta/Facebook or other advertising platforms, email marketing tools, video/live-call tools, scheduling tools, survey/form tools, and customer support or business operations tools.

We may also disclose your information, including any personal information, to any parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, joint ventures, successors, assigns, contractors, facilitators, licensees, professional advisors, or other companies or individuals working with us, under our direction, or under common control with us, in order to support the delivery, protection, licensing, administration, or operation of our products and services.

Business Transfer
In the event of a merger, dissolution, incorporation, restructuring, transition from sole proprietorship to corporation, sale of all or substantially all of our assets, assignment, acquisition, bankruptcy, or similar business event, we expect that the Information that we have collected and/or received, including personal information, may be transferred to the surviving entity, successor entity, acquiring entity, or new business structure. Accessing and Modifying Personal Information and Communication Preferences
Upon request to [email protected], we will provide you with confirmation as to whether we are processing your personal information, and have the data communicated to you within a reasonable time, subject to applicable law and any permitted exceptions. You have the right to correct, amend, or delete your personal information where it is inaccurate or has been processed in violation of this Privacy Policy, subject to our legal, business, tax, accounting, dispute-resolution, security, and recordkeeping obligations. We may require payment of a non-excessive fee to defray our expenses in this regard where permitted by law. Please allow us a reasonable time to respond to your inquiries and requests.

You may update your communication preferences or unsubscribe from marketing emails as described in Section 11 above. You should be aware, however, that it is not always possible to completely remove or modify information in our subscription databases, backups, archives, legal records, tax records, transaction records, or other systems where retention is permitted or required by law.

Information You Share on Public Forums
We feature or may in the future feature public forums such as message boards or weblogs, webinars, classes, telephone conferences, coaching calls, group calls, live classes, community spaces, course spaces, member spaces, user comments, chat rooms, and similar activities, collectively, “Public Forums.” You may voluntarily post and share information through such Public Forums.

As described in Sections 4 and 5 above, information you choose to share in public, group, community, course, live, comment, or similar settings should not be considered private or confidential, including any personal information. You should think carefully before disclosing any information in any Public Forum.

How We Protect the Information
We take commercially reasonable steps to protect the Information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction, taking into account the risks involved in the processing and the nature of such data, and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Such steps may include the use of third-party platforms and service providers that maintain their own security practices; limiting access to personal information to those who need it for business, service, support, legal, or operational purposes; and using reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information.

Please understand, however, that no security system is impenetrable. We cannot guarantee the security of our databases, platforms, service providers, email systems, community spaces, or the Websites, nor can we guarantee that the Information that you supply will not be intercepted while being transmitted to and from us over the Internet. Retention of Personal Information

This may include retaining personal information as needed to provide products, courses, services, memberships, community access, customer support, account access, purchase records, tax and accounting records, legal records, business records, dispute-resolution records, security records, consent records, unsubscribe records, and records needed to protect our rights, users, business, and legal interests.

When personal information is no longer needed for the purposes for which it was collected, and we are not otherwise permitted or required to retain it, we will take reasonable steps to delete, destroy, anonymize, or securely retain it in accordance with applicable law and our business practices.

International Visitors and Cross-Border Processing
The Truffle Box is based in Canada. If you are located outside of Canada, please be aware that any information you provide to us or that we collect, including personal information, may be transferred to, processed in, or stored in Canada.

We also use third-party service providers, platforms, and tools that may process, store, access, or transfer personal information in Canada, the United States, or other jurisdictions, depending on the service provider and the nature of the service. These jurisdictions may have privacy laws that are different from the laws where you live. Children and Minors
The Websites are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 through the Websites. If you are under 13, please do not give us any personal information.

Some products, services, courses, communities, professional trainings, facilitator trainings, licensing opportunities, or live offerings may be intended only for adults or may require parent/guardian consent, professional eligibility, or other requirements. We reserve the right to restrict access to certain offerings where appropriate.

We encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children’s Internet usage and to help enforce our Privacy Policy by instructing their children never to provide personal information through the Websites without the parent’s or legal guardian’s permission. Our Privacy Policy is created to comply with the laws of British Columbia and Canada, our home jurisdiction.
